Procedure:
- Working on a smooth, clean work surface, use rolling pin to evenly flatten desired
amount of Paperclay® to approximately 1/4" thickness. Rolling the Paperclay® out
between two sheets of waxed paper will also work.
- Gently, with evenly distributed pressure, stamp Rycraft Cookie Stamp pattern(s) into the
rolled out Paperclay®.
- With scissors, a wooden toothpick, or other cutting tool, cut out stamped design(s) from
the rolled out Paperclay®.
- Using your finger, evenly moisten the reverse side of the stamped Paperclay® design
piece(s) with a generous amount of water.
- Attach Paperclay® design(s) to terracotta clay pot by simply laying the moistened
design piece(s) onto the pot, and very gently applying a minimum of pressure to entire
area.
- Place terra cotta clay pot upside down onto non-stick baking sheet, and put into oven
preheated to 250 degrees. Bake for approximately 30 minutes.
- Remove carefully from oven, and let cool.
- Use small folded pieces of sandpaper to sand away rough edges, and create a smooth edged
effect.
- Paint pot as desired using acrylic paints.
- Let dry, and varnish with acrylic varnish.
- Optional: Add Aleenes Satin Sheen handle, raffia bow, and filler material of
choice.
